Kurti: I told them to get us inside German-French colleagues, every 5th Balkan resident lives in Europe

Kurti has criticised the EU for coming to the Balkans, also showing what she told German and French leaders about EU enlargement.

I was telling my French-German colleagues, get us in. Every fifth Balkan resident lives and acts in Europe. There are no families in Kosovo who have at least one member of the EU. European skepticism towards the Balkans makes me neither cynical nor sad. I'm critical of the EU, because the EU has taught me how to think in a critical way”, Kurti said.

Even according to Kurti, it is more to grieve for the EU for rejecting the Balkans than for the latter.

I grieve more for the EU than for us. With Chancellor Olaf Scholz, we have an urgent need to prepare for the Russian invasion”, he said.
