Media reported on Sunday evening that Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro have closed their air space for the plane, with which Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov travelled, for a visit to Serbia from 6-7 June.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters such actions cause problems with the schedule of high-level diplomatic meetings.
However, such moves will not prevent Moscow from keeping in touch with friendly countries, he added.
