Prime Minister Kurti defends his sister, Martin Berisha, involved in 600-euro scandal

When asked about the scandal in Slovenia, where it claims the ambassador has been involved, Kurti said Berisha would sue the Slovenian media for slander.

Our government spokeswoman has given the stance, and Ambassador Berishaaj, with whom he shows that they are false and that he will sue the medium, who has been slandering”, declared Kurti for Kosovas.

Kurti has not responded to whether Berishaaj should be fired, until his innocence is proven.

On the other hand, Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has stated that we should be careful about these claims, as they are also being made under an electoral race in Slovenia.

Our “Ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berisha, has denied the charges made in his direction, as well as warning the indictment against the Slovenian media that has made such a report. We need to be careful about claims that other than being denied by the ambassador are being made under an electoral race in another country. The quest for clarification of truth is always legitimate. As a government we are responsible and accountable, but we are interested in accountability of truth testified and evidence, not claims and charges”, Kryeziu wrote.
