The opposition wants the budget revised as soon as possible: Many projects have been blocked

Opposition party MPs are demanding that the review of the state budget be brought to the Assembly as soon as possible.

That is because according to Democratic League of Kosovo deputy (LDK) Driton Selmanaj, the current budget is more consumer than development-oriented.

In fact, according to Selmanaj, it is late until June or July that the budget revision in the Assembly will come. The former deputy prime minister says the government should build economic policies, the benefits of each could be long-term.

“The budget revision in June and July may come to the Assembly. This Government does not plan how to address many issues and now emits worthless populist instruments to distribute has 100 euros per citizen. The government needs to build economic policy so that the benefits of that policy are long-lived”.

This budget is not oriented towards Kosovo development. It's more of a consumer budget because I'm going to have to take out loans for social schemes which I use is a government without organisation, without plans and a Government without clear development policies for this country”.

Even Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK) Ferat Shala says that it should be re-determined into development investments as soon as possible.

He added that the budget is needed for the country's security, implementation of the salary Law and economic recovery of small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to MP Shala, there are total deadlocks of all the projects and distribution of cash, adding that no investment action has been undertaken in public companies or in the private sector, reports EO.

We haven't seen the planning draft in principle yet. The budget revision would have to come much earlier, and the means would have to be re-assigned in real development investment situations. We should have a clear budget for the safety of the country because of the agenda that we have strong budgetary lines that respond to the security response. A budget that would meet social requirements, and in this case, we would have to have a budget to start implementing the Law of Pays, and we would have to have a budget that would help economic recovery in small and medium enterprises”.
