The journalist says it is terrible how history is repeating itself, saying that corpses are thrown into the wells with the intention of poisoning water.
Through a post in his Facebook profile, Smith relates how he saw Serb bodies thrown into the wells.
“23 years ago, I was in Kosovo the day Serbian forces withdrew from Kosovo, reporting for the WP. Among the most unintelligible things seen that day are the Serb corpses thrown into the wells. History is now repeating in Ukraine, with troops found in the bunkers, where the Russians withdrew”, writes the journalist.
