Determining the exact number of victims on each side has resulted in challenges, with Russia and Ukraine claiming extremely different data and losses.
In a rare update on March 3rd, Russia claimed 498 of its troops had been killed in fighting, but it has remained silent for publishing other figures since.
Meanwhile, American officials have said Thursday that the number of Russian victims could be over 7,000, with up to 14,000 injured.
Among other damage caused by Russian weapons and vehicles, Ukraine claims its forces have also crashed: 450 tanks, 93 aircraft, 112 helicopters, and deactivated 43 antiaircraft systems.
