Osmani: Women in politics are more valued for dress than for what they do

In addressing International Women's Day, head of state Vjosa Osmani said women in politics are more valued for dress than for what they work for. She has said she has faced many barriers along her political journey. President Osmani, but Prime Minister Albin Kurti has also pledged that their strategic goal [...]
On International Women's Day, the Agency for Gender Equality has organised the event on the subject “We make prejudices, we work for the inclusion”.
President Vjosa Osmani has congratulated on the words “and “girls” to be synonymous with triumph, success and triumph. It has also mentioned cases of domestic violence and high unemployment.
Osmani: Gender equality and women's rights are preconditions for addressing challenges
The gender equality and women's rights are fundamental and are a prerequisite for addressing all the challenges I mentioned. We can achieve prosperity, security and stability only when we will promote, protect and guarantee the rights of women and girls. For decades women have been calling for equality, for decades women have reiterated that the time has come for equality, the possibility of representation. Time to end violence, time for access to justice, equal opportunities to inherit. We must unite that all women and girls, men and boys, young and old alike, give breath to gender equality at home, on the streets, in jobs, in institutions, in communities and elsewhere”, She expressed herself.
Moreover, Osman has mentioned successes in sports, art and culture, adding that they still continue to inspire prejudice.
Osmani: Women are easily classified and labeled before being heard and appreciated
The girls and women are easily classified and labeled before being heard and appreciated. Girls and women are attacked before being respected and treated with dignity. The girls and women are refused before the doors are opened because there is always reasoning, always a barrier, always a half. For me and my colleagues who are here in politics, always what we wear is more important than what we work for. I often try not to throw into full the many barriers I've faced along the professional and political route”, Ousmane has declared it.
And chief executive Albin Kurti said the joint institutional organisation is the only alternative. According to him, gender equality is the foundation of social equality.
Kurti: Creating equal opportunities is our strategic goal
“Grae make double activism, deal with general policies, but also gender issues. Women do not work except for women, but they do so for women, especially women. We need to activate educated women, and we need to educate active women. Creating equal opportunities is our strategic goal in our gender equality programme for women to benefit from development, but also to contribute to increased involvement and active participation in decision-making. To achieve righteous results in common travel is essential equality at the beginning of the path. Within this year, on behalf of an equal start, we have shared additions to more than 142,000 newborn children”, has declared Kurt.
He pledged that they are working for small children to grow up with values that promote gender inclusion and equality, the economic empowerment of women and financial independence through the expansion and development of active employment measures.
In the International Women's Day note, EU Office chief in Kosovo Thomas Szunyog said gender equality is the integral priority of the European Union. He had good words for women's involvement in key positions in institutions.
Szunyog: I would like to praise Kosovo for women's leadership positions
“I would like to commend Kosovo as a good example for women's empowerment and giving positions in leadership. Many ministers, deputy ministers and MPs, Kosovo is showing a good sign that women have placed in key positions. This serves to strengthen the initial goals of gender equality in Kosovo. Only representation is not enough to achieve gender equality, it is vital to engage in decision-making and leadership position”, he said.
That women and girls in Kosovo continue to face prejudices, executive chief of the Agency for Gender Equality Edi Gusia said.
She also talked about the war in Ukraine, where she said women are being sexually violated.
Gusia: We're hearing the first warnings that sexual assaults are happening.
There are hundreds of women and girls, men and boys who are facing the horrors of an unfair fight. Today, there are now hundreds of children, girls, and boys who, along with their mothers, are being subjected to death. Unfortunately, we are hearing early warnings that sexual rape as a means of war against Ukrainian women is happening. If women were encouraged to be part of global decision making, politics, many wars and conflicts could have been averted”, Gusia said.
