Colak made his visit to his Facebook showing that former President Thaci today was deeply grieved by the news of the death of former American State Secretary Madeleine Albright, with whom he worked closely to end our people's suffering for freedom.
We took many memories of that time, by far. Of course, we all remember those heavy days for Kosovo and our people. But it was freedom fighters, President Clinton, Secretary Albright, Prime Minister Blair, and many other supporters who kept our hope that freedom days were approaching”.
The “is really painful and the gross injustice to be held in custody by people who bear the greatest historical freedom burden 23 years ago”, Bekim Colak stressed. “But, Hashim Thaci, even today, was very proud. Such is the case with Kadri Wessel, whom I also met today. Such is Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, and all those who are being unjustly held there”, he wrote.

Today, 23 years later, when we recall the first NATO bombings that were thrown over Serbia, I was most likely to visit President Thaci in The Hague, which, with the signing of the Rambouille agreement, made it possible even to intervene in NATO. But today, President Thaci was deeply saddened by the news of the death of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, with whom he worked closely to end the suffering of our people for freedom.
We took many memories of that time, by far. Of course, we all remember those heavy days for Kosovo and our people. But it was freedom fighters, President Clinton, Secretary Albright, Prime Minister Blair, and many other supporters who kept our hope of approaching freedom days. It is indeed painful and great injustice to keep people in custody who carry the greatest historical burden of freedom 23 years ago.
But Hashim Thaci was still very proud. Such is the case with Kadri Wessel, whom I also met today. Such is Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, and all those who are being held unjustly. We all feel their absence in Kosovo, but we also boast of their great contribution, determination, vision and great love for Kosovo. On this particular day, it is conveyed by The Hague to Hashim Thaci's warmest greetings and Kadri Wessel.
