Prices have increased as a result of the tightening of Russian supplies in the continuation of Ukraine's invasion.
Canada's Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson says many countries are committed “help as much as possible towards the shift of Russian oil and gas”.
The fourth largest oil producer in the world has pledged to export 200,000 barrels of additional oil.
The country's largest pipeline company, Enbridge, told the BBC it is “prepared to do what we can to increase energy security for both North America and Europe”.
