“SO QYTETETEAR LIDARISM WITH UKRAINE POPULATION
Monday, March 07th, 2022,
ORA: 12:00
COUNTRY: Skenderbej Square, Pristina
OGGANIZATORS: Nongovernmental Organisations and Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo
The war as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine is continuing to take on devastating proportions primarily for people's lives (children, women and elderly) who have already become the target of Russian shocks.
Destruction of infrastructure, cleaning up villages and cities by military machines, long lines of people crossing borders to be safer, are the fresh reminder of the war our people have been through. So, in a sign of solidification and support with the Ukrainian people, legitimate representatives of the Ukrainian people, and in support of their heroic war for the protection of freedom and democracy, we are invited to gather at Skenderbeu Square in downtown Pristina on Monday, March 7, 2022, at noon, 12:00h.
The gathering before the National Theatre is an indication of the determination and unity of the people of Kosovo with all peace - loving peoples, who are protesting in the squares of all cities of democratic states to oppose the Russian war and aggression and that open and unhesitatingly are demanding the halt of the war and invasion of Ukraine.
We as a people, during the Serb engagement in Kosovo, have found support from states and democratic people in the most difficult days of our new history, so we solidify and co-operate the great pain that Ukrainian people are going through these days.
We invite you, with you to take colored ribbons of the Ukrainian flag or to wear and carry Ukraine's banners and flags and democratic states”, wrote Abazi on his Facebook account.
Otherwise, Russia days ago started its full invasion of Ukraine, but it is facing strong resistance there, as well as powerful Western sanctions.
To date, in many countries marches and gatherings have been organized in order to solidify with the people of Ukraine. / PERISCOP
