According to the official, Zelensky has also called on Beden to suggest concrete “to reduce Russia's threat to Ukraine”. This includes the repeated call for Washington to provide more military support to Ukraine, such as to donate more modern weapons.
Zelensky also stressed the need for a significant financial package for Ukraine, according to local officials. He told CNN that the president insisted strong economic support “would show Putin that the West stands alongside Ukraine and that Putin's impact on escalation would have no result of”.
According to Ukrainian official Zelensky, he asked Beden to visit Ukraine as soon as possible, but received no positive answers from Beden. American officials say a Biden trip to Ukraine is extremely impossible, at a time when the administration has called on American citizens to leave the Ukraine and has also removed the non-sensual staff from the Kiev Embassy.
However, during the call, according to a White House statement, Biden told Zelensky that the United States would give “a quick and decisive response” if Russia invades Ukraine. The two leaders “agreed on the importance of pursuing diplomatic routes and prevention, in response to the formation of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine”, the White House statement said.

The Kremlin says Russian troops are conducting military exercises, something normal for each state, but on the other hand, has urged the West not to membership in NATO Ukraine, which has been rejected. During the last weeks and days, warnings of war have come from all sides. Many states, including Albania and Kosovo, have called on their citizens to leave Ukraine, while the US has also removed the non-sensual staff at its embassy in Kiev.
