President Osmani Shows Her Stand for Association

Osmani, in an interview in RTK, has said her position on association has been the same since 2013.

I have the same attitude I've had since 2013, when it first came to the Assembly as a topic. You know, I voted against it. The same thing I had in 2015 when I rejected that intermediate document, which was subsequently brought down by the Constitutional Court, because of multiple violations. The same thing I repeated every time I was an MP, head of the Parliament, and since the day I was elected President”, Osman said.

She has said that association is one of the most harmful documents for Kosovo, however, has added that we are fortunate to have the US stance.

“Association has been one of the most harmful documents for the sovereignty and internal functionality of Xova. Not much has been spoken about the damage done, but the damage still continues because in some cases there is still a insistence on certain people of EU institutions that it be implemented as signed in Brussels. But we're lucky that the U.S. has made it clear that they will not support Republika Srpska, and this is one of the most important developments so far in terms of association.
