The Kosovo Infermies Union has said that according to an unconfirmed list being circulated, nurses are ranked with a very low cofficiency in the Law of Salaries.
On this issue, nurses are also warning unionist actions, Klan Kosova reports.
“During yesterday's media has circulated an appendix with unconfirmed wage coefficiency, where nurses' communities, midwives and health professionals are ranked with very low cofficiency compared to other categories, with what our communities are shocked by this extreme discrimination”.
The union says it is this kind of discrimination because the law passed by the Constitutional Court has been abolished.
“Based on this appendix doctors are ranked with cofficient 10.1. Clinic psychologists 7, logods, radioology technicians, physical therapists and sanitation 6, while nurses with coefficiency 4.7, 4.6, 3.8 and 3.7”.
“Not knowing the value of a cofficiency, according to this addition, but recognizing the current wages at the current value of the cofficient for the above-mentioned categories is clearly seen being discriminated against, bypassing and ignoring the total demands of nurses. Pay increases for several categories of up to 100%, while for nurses only up to about 15% is absolutely unacceptable and we consider the profession depreciate in general”.
The Kosovo Infermies Union says beginning on Monday will gather its structures and hold co-ordination meetings with all the nurses' associations and other health professionals for co-ordinating union activities and union measures, which we will undertake in opposition to these coheidants.
The Kosovo Infermier Union adds that it will consult its leading organs, associations and other representative institutions, and each nurses, Mom and other health professionals for organising a protest march that will invite all nurses, midwives and other health professionals from all over Kosovo, continuing with daily protests, until strikes and total blocking of the health system.
Kosovo Infermies' “Sindicate, based on this appendix, requires coefficacy 7 for all nurses, midwives and other health professionals indiscriminately, while other options will by no means be accepted”.
