NATO says the war Russia has launched in Ukraine will make it the first to pay the price for years.
So said Oana Lungescu, spokeswoman for the North-Atlantic Alliance, through a post in its official account at Twitter.
President Putin's decision to continue aggression against #Ukraine is a terrible mistake for which #Russia will pay a heavy price for the years ahead, it has declared.
At the same time, the Russian people need to know that this war will not make #Russia safer. This will not make Russia the most respected in the world. It won't lead to a better future for your children”, it wrote further Lungescu.
NATO, for the first time in the Alliance's history since its founding, has activated the Response Forces yesterday. This unit is believed to have 400,000 soldiers.
President Putin's decision to extend his engagement againstst #Ukraine is a dark mix for which #Russia will pay a seven price for years to come.
