Krasniqi: Even Kurti voters are looking for a run from Kosovo

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said the government in charge of Albin Kurti has realised its agenda for the expensive electricity and, according to him, has done so through the Power Regulatory Office ( ZREE). Krasniqi has said Kurti has burdened the lives of citizens with confidence [...]

According to Krasniqi, Kurti has deceived citizens.

The government headed by Albin Kurti yesterday has long warned of costing electricity to all Kosovo citizens, putting a heavy, unfair but even affordable burden on each family in our country. And this agenda that he accomplished through the Energy Regulatory Office, an instrument that is legally independent but is in the service of the Kurti Government's political agenda, and this office did not take independent decisions but only sealed a proposed political decision at the expense of citizens from the majority of this Parliament that today also leaves the” debate, Kranqi said.

Kransiqi has said the ZRE with the published decision has come out to be above the Kosovo Parliament and Constitution, since he put it, the same has singled out citizens with its decision.

At the extraordinary session discussing ZRE's decision to expensive electricity, Krasniqi has said that the government has not taken into account debates on this topic, nor has the PDK's proposals for easing the energy crisis.

“Albin Kurti is willing to give away about 100m euros, that it has come out more than 100m euros, KEDS, fraud that is trying to cover up if we are subsidising citizens is absolutely false, the separation of over 100 million euros from the Government already is direct subsidy for KEDs, the private company that has been blaming them for years and have said that we should take measures against them and that today citizens's taxes worth over 100 million euros so far are being forgiven. They force citizens to pay double the cost of their electricity. From yesterday's Kosovo citizen has been leaning on the wall”, Krasniqi has said.

He has declared that the PDK will challenge the decision to raise energy through any legal means.

“Sic has been opposing the increase in the price of electricity over the past months we will challenge with any legal means in any legal instance here in the Assembly, but also with all democratic means to require two basic things, the dismissal of members of the ZRE Board who, as the piuna of Albin Kurti, have made this decision with difficulty the lives of citizens and the annulment of the scandalous decision to increase electricity”, he said.

The Kosovo Assembly, at the request of three opposition parties, has gathered at an extraordinary session where parliamentary debate is under way over ZRE's yesterday's decision to expensive electricity.
