Italy has removed the use of masks from open environments, but it is mandatory for people to have them with them and use them in the event of gatherings, while use in closed environments remains in force.
Until March 31st, 2022 is mandatory across the country using internal respiratory protective means, except private homes, and in external areas it is binding across the territory”, said in the decree signed by Italian Health Minister Roberto Spranza.
The ordinance stipulates that children under six years of age are not obliged to use respiratory equipment, people with limited pathology or abilities incompatible with mask use, as well as those who need to communicate with a disabled person, reports the paper.
In any case, protocols and guidelines envisioned for economic, productive, administrative and social activities, as well as guidelines for consumption of food and drink in public places or open to the public, are reserved.
The ordinance takes effect from February 11th 2022 and until March 31, 2022.
