On this occasion, he thanked General Correll and Ambassador Havenier and expressed his high gratitude for the partnership between KSF and the Iowa National Guard, as well as co-operation, now in the 11th, excellent bilatheral year.
Among other things, Minister Mehaj reminded some of the joint successes, focusing on the first peacekeeping mission in Kuwait, the “Defender-European exercise ♫2118x1>, preparations for “Defender-European<23x3>, as well as other peace missions in co-ordination with American troops.
At the same time, he recalled that these achieved are thanks to the US's unreplaceable and irreplaceable support as a friendly state, the American Department of Defence, through the National Guard, in the function of advancing operational and professional capacity of KSF over ten years, and by firmly believing that future co-operation will deepen even more.
Meanwhile, Corell praised the already high co-operation between the KSF and the Iowa National Guard, as well as confirmed full support for other joint activities with the KSF, which he said are already witnessing high levels of professionalism, so he praised that they remain committed for co-operation and partnership to continue in the future.
While Havenier stressed that he will continue his commitment to supporting the KSF in increasing professional and operational capacities and capabilities, and especially stressed the importance of the aspects of interaction between the American Army and KSF for operations on peacekeeping and stability missions.
