The most suitable passports for world travel have now been discovered for 2022.
Again, Japan and Singapore have led the list in the annual Henley & Partners passport Index.
The index lists all passports according to the number of destinations their owners may have access without a preliminary visa.
Based on data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), passport holders at the top, Japan and Singapore, are able to travel visa-free to 192 destinations.
This means that in the absence of any restrictions on COVID, passport holders of these two countries can travel to 166 countries more than Afghanistan, which is finally ranked 111th.
South Korea is equal to Germany in second place (with a 190 score) and Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain are third (with an 189 result).
As EU countries dominate the list as usual, with France, Holland and Sweden climbing a country to join Austria and Denmark in fourth (with a score of 188), India has improved its position in the 83rd rankings, seven positions higher from last year's 90th position. Meanwhile, Ireland and Portugal are in fifth place (with 187 points).
Japanese, Swedish and American passport holders can visit more than 180 visa-free destinations, while citizens of Angola, Cameroon and Laos can visit only about 50.
