Kosovo Hospital Service Director and University Clinic Valbon Krasniqi believes the year 2022 will be easier than COVID-19 is. It has also been declared about complaints concerning the lack of essential drugs.
Krasniqi believes that the year 2022 will be more affordable, despite the country facing the first cases of COVID-19 Omitron variant.
“I believe that the world and Kosovo will also have a easier year in terms of the pandemic take into account many factors, primarily the knowledge we already have about the virus, the vaccine we have in hand as weapons, and with the implementation of measures that are already known, the world certainly expects to spend a calmer year”, Krasniqi told the KSP.
He says that during this year, patients have managed to provide most drugs from the essential list. According to him, occasional shortages have occurred due to trade disorders caused by the pandemic COVIDD-19.
The vast majority of medicines during the entire annual period have almost been available, of course there are occasional shortages for certain drugs, but the most essential and vital for patients have been available throughout the year. The occasional shortages posed for various reasons, most of them, either because of the lack of drug behavior by economic operators, or because of their lack of market, you know that there have been a shortage of insulins during the year, there has been a lack of fraciparities in the private market, and this has certainly been caused by the world-related disorders due to the COVID pandemic. But in general, this year is characterized by much more stable, much more stable, and to a much larger extent than the previous years”, he stressed.
Stability in supply with medicines from the essential list, Krasniqi promises even during 2022 after the Kosovo government has allocated 30m euros. He stresses that the budget for USKKUK, set for this year, is higher than last year's.
Even for 2022, a budget is meant to be higher than the previous year, and what is welcome for us is the fact that we have about 30m euros on the essential drug list, which is obviously more than the previous years. However, despite this growth, the needs of health institutions are much greater, and we expect that in case of need and if the immune demand is submitted then this budget will increase over the next year. But, at the moment there are 30m euros that create us a security and a stability in the supply of drugs from the essential” list, Krasniqi said.
At the end of last year, directors of many of the QKUK clinics, who have been guided for years with task guides, were also elected. Krasniqi said he intends that during this year, the directors of regional hospitals and department chiefs who are taskeering will also appoint him.
“We plan to continue with contestants and at the same time, general hospital directors as we have 7 hospitals, 6 of us are taskeering, and we will continue very quickly with reporting the competition and at the same time at CKUK clinics, we will continue with the announcement of the competition for the task of the chief of departments, and I have words that there have been years of exercising this function and that we have dedicated part of reform in the management of health institutions so that each of the management would say competent persons and capable of contesting, and not to continue to continue the competition as they have been in the past, Krasni.
