Kim Jongson launched the ballistic missile: 10 times greater than voice speed

North Korea has launched what is allegedly ballistic missile, on the eastern coast of the state.

The South Korean Army has said this missile could be more advanced than the <x0 hypersonic strategy” that tested the North Koreans last week.

According to initial estimates, the missile has travelled more than 700 kilometers, at a maximum height of 60 kilometers, and speed 10 times higher than the speed of sound, southeastern officials have said through a statement.

We estimate that this is the most advanced missile than what North Korea tested on January 5th, although the South Korean authorities and those of American intelligence are conducting detailed” analysis, it is said in the statement.

The January 11th launch has come as members of the United Nations Security Council met in New York to discuss what Phenjian has called hypersonic rockets.

South Korean Army officials have questioned the claim that their northern neighbour has launched hypersonic missiles, saying the statements have been “-extensive”.

UN Security Council resolutions prohibit the testing of all ballistic missiles in North Korea and have imposed sanctions against the Phenjan weapons programme.

Due to the outbreak of pandemic, North Korea has closed borders, which have slowed trade and blocked diplomatic meetings with physical presence.
