Haradinaj at The Hague: Prosecutor not continue rehabilitation of Serbian criminals

Ahead of the Specialised Chambers in The Hague, Haradinaj has said EULEX forces had followed him to a television building in Pristina, in which he was going to give an interview, where he was also arrested.

On the second day of his testimony, Haradinaj has said that until EULEX police tried to arrest him, he has insisted that this should be done only by Kosovo police.

From the arrest site that had occurred in the “Pyton” neighbourhood in Pristina, Haradinaj has said he was sent to EULEX headquarters in Fushe Kosova, where he is told he will immediately be transferred to The Hague.

However, Haradinaj has later indicated that he was warned by the trip cannot be made by tomorrow.

On the second day of his testimony, Haradinaj has said that the warrant for his arrest has neither seen him at the moment of arrest nor during his stay in the EULEX centre.

After a night of stay in the cell, Haradinaj was headed to The Hague detention centre, now under only special investigators, until Kosovo police had been part of the operation only during his arrest in Pristina.

I know you've been sent to another part of Pristina Airport, sent to me as a container, there's been a medical check, and there's been told that you're now in the hands of this court's employees and they use other handcuffs, and there's these cuffs, and they've put my belt on all other chains, and this one's done my doctor, and we're on the run, and we've told me that we don't have any interpreters, for everything I've been accompanying one of these officers that I know about, and it's been accompanied by an officer who knows, and this fellow Moberg, and not the other one who's already told me that they didn't move.

Before the court, Haradinaj has said he has not threatened any witnesses or anyone else in his lifetime.

The procurory is often speculating, or it must be with the panus that do not know and is referring to this. Spys all over the world know who they are, spies are collaborators of the communist regime at the time they've followed me, and they're still unfortunately at the helm of my government, it has nothing to do with these spies. Co-workers are those who, even during wartime, unfortunately the Albanians I'm begging that and that this prosecutor toy investigates, have committed crimes together with Serb forces... Once again, he has opposed the approach and work of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, saying the same is rehabilitation of criminals.

I demand from this prosecutor not to continue on this road, not to continue with the criminal rehabilitation, because to receive a witness from criminals, especially Serbs, I'm not calling criminals why they are Serb, but because they are evidence, they have committed executions and given orders for executions, these normal ones who are educated for them that Albanians are guilty. I don't want to experience it in my independent state again a system, or a Kosovo court that is even more strict than Serbian courts in the report, I'm sorry and I told the court I mean the prosecution, in relation to the time we live today, 40 years later. If that's the case, again I'm saying, I'm against and in this form this prosecutor's going on just on my case, I'm against, I'm against it, I'm against it, a hundred percent,”, Haradinaj said.

With defence attorney Haradinaj's questions being completed, he is continuing his testimony by answering the questions of the specialised Prosecutor's Office.

Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj were arrested on 25 September 2020, since they are even staying in custody at The Hague.

The flow of documents from the Special, which by a still unknown person have been sent to O'O offices VL- The KLA, and publicisation of this event by the leaders of the organisation, is the reason Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj are being tried.

On them are charges of criminal acts against administration of justice, namely obstructing official persons in performing official duties, fearing witnesses, revenge, and violating the secret of the procedure.
