Over 70 schools in teaching HINAline, municipal education directors discuss the situation with the pandemic

More than 70 schools across the country are continuing to learn '%online because of the Omitron version infection. The large number of virus teachers and their recruiting for replacement is one of the challenges municipalities in Kosovo are facing. Municipal education directors at the meeting with the Kosovo Communist Association [...]
AKK chairman Sazan Ibrahimi said the situation is getting worse, where, as he said, the Omitron variant is affecting children.
“Mbi 77 schools or 77 schools according to the last notes we've accepted are continuing to learn HINAline. The situation is seen as not calming down, but it's getting worse unfortunately. With interilateral communication this situation or situation can be eased. That's why we invited you to have an exchange of information and then get recommendations on possible overcoming or easier dealing with the COVID situation. In various municipalities, the situation is different. In urban countries it is extremely different with rural”, Ibrahim has announced.
At the meeting of most municipal education directors has also been discussed in the long procedures of recruiting teachers in cases where they are sick, which he said is lasting up to two months.
Even according to the education director in Kosovo's Fuun municipality, Samir Sahin's large number of teachers are even outside the salary list.
We have a large number of teachers off the payroll. Currently, the municipality of Fushe Kosovo has 53 teachers outside the salary list and has been recruited over the past few years, is not the number recruited over the past year. In continuing Kosovo's municipality of Fushe has asked the Ministry of Finance to jointly include the Education Ministry to list these teachers. But no success so far. We're looking at all legal ways to find solutions to this problem”, Sahin said.
There are over 250 students in this municipality and over 20 infected teachers.
The education director in the municipality of the Year, Fatbarde Emini, said that the long procedures in recruiting teachers are making it difficult to manage learning.
The “Minnimum of a public competition is 45 days. Then, written and oral interviews that are conducted some 60 days. Imagine what a waste of hours there may be, where 60 days of public competition is now held by about 50 teachers infected with COVID”, Emini has declared.
It has recommended that at this time when temperatures are low there be rest and replaced by spring break.
We're not against teaching éonline, but we've seen it's not very effective or it's just to complete an administrative procedure not to say there's been a loss of hours. I personally in this cold time that has been this week and last week I would be for a longer vacation, either replacing the spring break five days or ten days. Then let's know we have the missing ten days of education and replace both Saturdays and spring break. There are also villages that are mountainous, learning not only in Pristina or just in the cities, but also villages that are many of the mountainous areas, which even teachers have difficulty learning”, it recommended.
Likewise, Ferizaj's education director, Africa Labjan, said that the situation with pandemic is getting worse in this municipality every day.
We have 98 infected teachers, we have 437 students, 11 other personnel, and at the moment we have nine schools in the online system. What an effective lesson is "online," I believe we have a good experience in this direction and we've seen how much efficiency and results are. The schools are responsible for all of this, according to the guides they have and the schools are sometimes on dilemmas to get on or off the line. Because the demands are for one part of the staff to continue, another part is not. But then there is the problem of replacing those teachers who are impossible to do. Should we all go into the system '%online) as the Republic of Kosovo, or we still have a municipality left for the municipality, or school for school”, he said.
The number of infected students and teachers has also been recorded in Pec. However, Education Director Naser Gega has recommended that all return from Monday with physical presence in schools.
I am a follower of teaching to return with the physical presence of students in schools and this physical presence I had appealed since Monday to return physical instruction to schools. Because when I say that, the number isn't what we report today, within this period the majority are negative. The good news of all this is that no student and no teacher is hospitalised”, Gega said.
According to him, there has been an influx and panic for testing without consul with the doctor at the medical centres in Pec.
After the discussion, the Kosovo Commission Association has called on the Ministry of Education to establish a guide to be released from procedures in cases of recruiting teachers.
