Once new anti-steps are in force CO VID-19 also launched fines for citizens who did not comply with the Kosovo Government measures.
Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla says the speech of fines is being done to comply with the law, not with resentment, nor to collect the sentence as monetary form.
Svecla on the morning show on Radio Public Television stressed that the measures must be implemented by all, without exception.
“I understand some trends to deviate whether the debate or the good purpose of Kosovo institutions and police. The order is extremely clear. The measures must be implemented by all, there are no exceptions. It is not that the Kosovo Police condemn this people or society as some have wanted to represent. Kosovo police are taking steps in order to bring about another situation where these requirements are implemented and which would protect the citizens of this country. If a citizen is punished for committing a violation of that punishment, we bring his awareness and a reflection of others to protect our people. One's punishment is not due to one's being condemned either in anger or to collect that sentence as a monetary form. No, no, this is being done in order to respect measures that scientifically bear testimony to the decrease in infection and the protection of our citizen's life, and that is not the only measure”, Svechla said.
