Patients connected to respiratory devices fighting for life, inside Pulmology at QKUK

Among the dozens of patients infected with COVID-19, only one bed was left yesterday in Pulmology Clinic. A bed for the person in this disaster will have the fate of having a place to be treated. Every room in Pulmology is filled with patients. With [...]

Every room in Pulmology is filled with patients. With young and old. Almost all connected to respiratory devices. They see each other, but they can hardly speak.

An 80-year-old tells of Express that he has already been at war with the virus for two weeks, and that his condition has been very heavy.

He has shown he is not vaccinated against COVID-19, though it seems, regrets that he did not do so.

And the same room is shared by a young man. The virus has not spared anyone and other youths who have filled the room of Pulmology.

Family members of patients walk through the clinic corridors and seem tired and lost. They seek help for their families.

They stay close to patients, assisting them in everything they need, and facilitates the work of health workers who are not numerous.

Pulmology Director Musa Hoxha tells Express that 88 infected patients are lying in this clinic.

He says the patient situation is heavy, but stable.

Hoxha shows that among patients there are 15 patients who are vaccinated, though their situation is better.

The patients we're patient with, uh, 7 are two vaccines, 8 is 1 vaccine. Their situation is better, and it is seen that clinically they are more stable and with smaller problems and respiratory as well as in terms of mutual pneumonia, radioligically they are less common to pneumonia and clinically are much more stable than the cases that are unvaccinated”, he noted.

Other COVID clinics in CKUK and general hospitals are also in serious condition.

All infected patients are struggling to live. The easiest battle is winning those who are vaccinating against it. COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health has published the latest report on the situation with COVID in the country. Within 24 hours there were 22 cases of death and 1,894 new infections.

“From 14,284 tests, 1,894 citizens have proved positive with the COVID-19 virus. During the last 24 hours, 22 cases of death --” -- have reported MS.
