Papa for pandemic: This is the biggest test of our time.

The pope made comments during a visit to Slovakia ʹ one of the most hit countries on the continent from the pandemic.

He named pandemic the greatest “test of our time”.

“has taught us how easy it is even when we are all on the same ship to retreat and think only of ourselves”, the pope said.

Slovakia, a member of the European Union of some 5.4 million people, has had the highest rate of infection and mortality from COVID-19 in a period this year.

“After the long and trying months of pandemic, fully aware of the difficulties ahead, we are awaiting economic growth, which would also be supported by the European Union's plans for recovery”, the pope said in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava.
