At a media conference, Vitia has said the situation with COVID-19 is serious despite the decline.
After that statement, Oda of Kosovo's Hotel and Tourism reacted, saying that measures for hotel manager and gastronomies must be released, otherwise making decisions that would favour businesses.
We need to stress that since hotel and gastronomy businesses and all other sectors have not received a single aid package from the Government, our demands are to release measures and these sectors are open by 11:18x1>, it says in response.
Hoteliers say that before making this decision, Minister Vitita should invite them to the meeting to consult.
We're looking to Minister Vitita before this decision is made to continue the measures to invite us to a meeting to consult and to find a co-operation about this situation so that we can have measures and we respect them, but on the other hand, as long as there are no business subsidies they have to work and do not stumble”, the response concludes.
From August 30th, the Government of Kosovo has made a decision to limit the work of hotel facilities, restaurants and cafes.
Within the framework of new restrictive measures on COVID-19, gastronomy has started working until 9:30 and in open environments.
Gastronomial services are allowed to develop their activity from 0500 to 21:30x1>, the decision says.
