Health Journal: Disaster for poor Kosovo for vaccine donations to be extended

Renowned journalist covering the field of health, Bujar Vitija, in a promotion to Periscope has said throwing 133 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Ministry of Health is a disaster for Kosovo. “It is disaster for Kosovo as a poor country that has so far received most vaccines, [...]

It is a disaster for Kosovo as a poor country that most vaccines have so far received a donation, to expire the deadline for more than 440,000 doses because the Ministry of Health has failed to manage with citizens. Of course it would have to be explained to this case”, he said of Periscope.

The year has shown some factors that have contributed to the failure of these vaccines to be administered to citizens.

I consider there are several factors. The first is the health ministry's responsibility by not organising campaigns and campaigning to inform citizens about the safety and efficiency of vaccines Astra Zeneca. The second, some irresponsible statements by Parliamentary deputies about the vaccine deadline in June have influenced citizens to suspect these vaccines. And the hesitation of some of the citizens to get this vaccine is one of the reasons we're in this situation.

On the other hand, Vitija is hoping that this will not happen again because Kosovo will constantly receive doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

“S at least hope not to happen again, because thousands of doses of AZ vaccines are expected to come back to Kosovo.”, he said.

Otherwise, Kosovo is facing a lack of vaccines, where numerous citizens complained about lack of termination./Periscopi/
