The American Embassy in Kosovo in a statement late Saturday stressed that the agreement did not mean that Kosovo was evacuate persons who were considered inadequate to be admitted to the United States.
Some applicants are still in the process of obtaining necessary documents and providing all required information to qualify under US law for immediate access”, the embassy statement said.
The American official who discovered the plan said that transit centres “refer to a safe place for different groups... to complete their documents while we conduct security reviews before continuing to their final destination in the United States or to a different country”.
