1 month of detention against two Gulf suspects for carrying marijuana

The Constitutional Court in Gjilan has scheduled the 1 month-long detention measure against suspects E.Z. and A.R., with suspicion that the defendants without authorisation have deliberately possessed sales or distribution of marijuana-type narcotics.

According to the prosecution's request, during the search by police officials in the suspect's car, narcotics packed in 6 (six) small bags in quantity of 3.5 grams have been found, reports the “Justice Trust”.

The request for the pre-communication appointment at the hearing has been opposed by defenders of the defendant Shfertim Bislimi and Taulant Aliu, proposing to the court the pronunciation of another alternative move.

Criminal work for “Blerja, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotrope and analogo” by Article 267 paragraph 1 related to Article 31 of the Kosovo Criminal Code is punishable by fine or prison of 1 to 8 years in prison.

According to the Prosecution, there is doubt that by the date 30.8,2021 in the year, defendants without authorisation have deliberately possessed sales or distribution of marijuana-type narcotics.

The defendants while traveling with the car “Pass”, during the search by police officials in the car, were found narcotic substances packed in 6 (six) small bags in quantity of 3.5 grams. During the field test, they have proved positive.
