This virus has emerged in several Balkan and European countries, but there are still no reported cases in Kosovo.
Watch out for mosquito bites! The West Nile virus, which has already appeared in Balkan, Mediterranean and European countries, has prompted experts from the Kosovo National Public Health Institute to increase readiness to prevent the show of the disease. There are no reported cases in Kosovo yet, but given the risk and possibility of spreading the Western Nile virus, we are monitoring the epidemiological situation in our country but also of neighbouring states”, the IKSHPK report said.
