Reshimaj was the only AAK deputy to go against the party's decision to vote Vjosa Osmani as president. But, after that decision, she was not excluded from the party, though President Ramush Haradinaj had said her vote was part of the vote's trafficking in the election of president.

Reshimaj was also the only MP from the opposition to participate in the ZRRE board vote.
