80 out of 223 boxes from the post office vote are scheduled to begin counting conditional votes and persons with special needs

The Central Election Commission has announced regarding the progress of counting ballot ballots outside Kosovo, respectively, from voting via mail, belonging to early elections for the Kosovo Assembly.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has made it clear that “by now (Monday, June 15th 2026), 80 of the 223 voting boxes (35.87%) in which envelopes with ballot papers have been placed after their approval by the CEC's Submission”.
He has explained that according to procedures, envelopes allegedly containing ballot papers, following the evaluation process have been arranged in 223 voting boxes according to municipalities from which registered voters come.
The vote through mail has been enabled from 21 May to 6 June 2026, while the number of Kosovo citizens registered to vote through mail was about 105 thousand.
The day before Sunday, The CEC has absorbed the assessment process of 85,790 alleged collection packages, of which 82,809 have been approved, meanwhile, have been dropped 2,981.
These packages have been withdrawn from CEC mailboxes to 22 different states, as well as from the CEC mailbox in Kosovo.
But, when the last ballot counting will begin, those on bail and persons with special needs, Elesi has indicated that their count will start by one time as soon as the ballot from the post office is finished.
“Until the vote is completed counting by mail, the process will be prepared for the start of voting from conditional voting, which has been enabled at 52 conditional locations where 8,751 voters and ballots from the voting of persons with special needs enabled outside the deployments through mobile teams and where they have been registered to this type of 3,144 voters, Elez said.
