Valentina Binakaj's brother, who suffered a tragic loss of life along with her daughter Erlinden in Sunday's accident in Croatia, spoke after the Gjakova burial ceremony.
He told T7 that his sister Valentina had died instead of the event, while for his niece he said they had no knowledge in advance but had recognised her through her shoes.
The burial ceremony went very well, we are a very human people, with ancient culture. I thank the municipality for organizing it, we as family did not have much commitment. As for the victims, you expressed condolences to all families who lost their loved ones”, he said.
He added that they had both taken their way to Kosovo because of an engagement their family had organised for the day.
