Rama reports 5 women and 14 children trapped in camp I SIS expected to return to Albania

The Albanian government has successfully completed the third humanitarian operation for the return of women and children from Al Hol and Syria's Roy camps. The seizure of 19 Albanian women and children from these camps has reportedly been enabled. It is predicted that they will arrive in Albania on Sunday afternoon. “

The seizure of 19 Albanian women and children from these camps has reportedly been enabled. It is predicted that they will arrive in Albania on Sunday afternoon.

Albanian “Ekipi, consisting of Marc Ghorayeb non-resident adviser to Prime Minister Edi Rama, State Police representatives, as well as Colonel Fauzi Shamaun, deputy director of Lebanese national right-wing security of General Abbas Ibrahim, director of national security in Lebanon, are located in the Al Hasaka area in northeast Syria to get 19 Albanian citizens. They will first travel to Damascus and then arrive in Beirut”, reports the TCH.

Survivors from the camps will then remain in a secret location, under the preservation of security forces and the personal care of Lebanon's national security director, General Abbas Ibrahim, without whose commitment this would not be achieved.

As in the second October 2020 operation, when a woman and four children were repatriated, Prime Minister Edi Rama himself went to Bayrut along with Minister of Internal Affairs Bledi Cuci and Glidis Nano, director of the Anti-Terror Directorate at the State Police.

They were received by National Security Director General Abbas Ibrahim.

Marc Ghorayeb Prime Minister Edi Rama's non-resident adviser to the Middle East tells of Top Channel how successful finalisation became possible.

It took me a lot of time and energy spent because for such an operation it takes a co-ordination with many factors and actors. After the first repatriation, and I was both in intensive contact with Prime Minister Edi Rama, who called me and wanted to know what progress was being made. Long ago I made a promise to return all women and children to Albania. It is also a promise made to Prime Minister Rama that is heading towards full fulfillment. We still have work ahead of us, but with the support of General Abbas Ibrahim and the many other people I wanted to thank, we would succeed in bringing back all the remaining women and children”, Marc Ghorayeb said.

Operating in this third operation of the repatriation of Albanian women and children in Beirut in February 2021 was Minister Bledi Cuci himself, where he met with local authorities, seeking assistance and co-operation.

“The particular fact is that only women and children who are victims of this human tragedy are repatriated in Albania's case. It is nothing more than the constitutional obligation we have towards every Albanian wherever he lives. We remain 100% committed to any victim of this madness returning and living near families in Albania”, Minister Cuci said.
