Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will meet for the second time with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, in a new round of dialogue that has resumed on 15 June. International powers urge both to negotiate to achieve a compromise that would bring the final agreement, intended to be the ultimate solution to problems between the two countries.
Years ago, when day and night, he gathered activists on the streets of Pristina to oppose the negotiations with Serbia, the very vocal opposition Albin Kurti told them that it should negotiate with Belgrade as Adam Jashar had done in the war, Express writes.
“Do you know how to negotiate Adem Jashari with Serbia?”, Kurti asked, while an activist who wanted to hear Kurt's idea more fully asked “City?”.
“Eh tea is the work”, Kurti replied to him in this case, leaving it clearly implied what “negociash” was referring to.
The establishment of the Vetevendosje Movement, and the very name that was given to this political movement by Albin Kurti, was marked by the continuing goal that Kosovo never sat down to discuss with the Serbian side ever.
“Graphs No Negociata Vetevendosje! The”, which still stands in all objects across Kosovo, was the campaign LVV did to counter talks with Serbia.
But on the day he was elected prime minister, Albin Kurti had admitted that no progress can be made in any other area unless there is progress in dialogue. Before this session, he did not consider the matter his priority. He believes citizens have chosen to deal more with other issues, including the management of pandemic, the fight against crime and corruption, as well as the opening of new jobs.
