Twenty Serbian community workers have received salaries for a year straight from the state budget, even though they had not even one day left for work. According to the audience, over 100,000 euros have been spent on their salaries, Express reports.
In Kosovo, it is turning out you can get a salary without working a day. This “option” has been used by 20 Serbian community officials who have had to be accommodated by the former Public Administration Ministry, which now operates within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
None of these officials were submitted to the workplace during the past year, but the ministry had paid their salaries.
That's how he found the National Auditor's Office in the annual Home Affairs Minister Report.
According to the audience, the cause of the failure to present the officials was the failure to create the right conditions for work, poor control and non-monitoring them from the ministry's management.
High officials, in 2020, were not submitted to the workplace, while the ministry had paid their salaries at a total of 100,583. The cause of the failure to perform such officials was not to create the right conditions for work, poor control, and not monitoring them from the ministry's management”, the report said.
Audience Report
The ZKAH has concluded that paying salaries without the continuation of work causes budget damage and also affects failure to reach the agreed targets until it has come up with some recommendations for the minister.
The minister must take all the necessary actions to ensure that the conditions for regular follow-up in the work of the Serbian community are maintained, their compensation paid only after the regular performance of the job by making their continued monitoring, as provided with sublegal acts”, says the ZKAU report.
