More than 100 deaths from floods in Europe, Albanian Defence Ministry with appeal for citizens

Given the floods in Germany and several other European states, the Ministry of Defence in Albania has announced that in the next 5 days it will be local rainfall, which could be of water flows and electrical landslides. It underlines that the situation in the country is normal and there are no similarities to the catastrophic situation in the countries of Europe.

“Praising the situation that took place in Southeast Europe and information on the impact that weather conditions can have on other nearby countries, the Water and Environment Energy Genocency Institute reports that over the next five days in Albania, a local rainfall weather may be forecast, with short water and electric flues mainly in the mountainous areas. We note that the situation expected in our country is normal for the storm type in the hot season and there is no resemblance to the catastrophic situation that went through the countries of Europe”.

For better management of any possible emergency situation that could result from adverse weather conditions, the Ministry of Defence and the National Civil Protection Agency will co-ordinate and co-ordinate all phases to cope with civilian emergencies.
