Through a tweet, Orlando has said that several days after NATO's entry into Kosovo, Italian troops were deployed in Pec to protect the population.
NATO forces entered Kosovo on June 12th 1999. A few days later, Italy's troops settled in Pec to protect the population. Since then, our men and women are committed to promoting a safe and secure environment for all of”, it wrote Orlando.
We remember that 22 years ago, over 50,000 NATO troops had landed in Kosovo following the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
