The law, which the Hungarian Parliament adopted on June 15th, prohibits discussion and distribution of information schools, thought to promote homosexuality and gender change.
The law, more precisely, forbids children and youths books, movies, and content that speak of sexuality other than heterosexuality.
For me, Hungary no longer has jobs in the EU”, Rutte said, reaching an EU leaders' summit in Brussels.
But I'm not the only one who decides this: there are 26 more [EU countries]. This should be done step by step”, Rutte said.
Orban told reporters in Brussels that the law has been misunderstood.
It's not against homosexuality. It's about the rights of children and parents”, Orban said.
The issue was turned into news headlines around the world, when the European Football Federation (UEFA) rejected a request this week of Munich's German city to light its rainbow-colored stadium on the day Hungary's footballers played with Germany, under the Euro 2020 championship.
U n EFA said the issue is political, while it itself is a political and religious neutral organisation. / REL/
