Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani at the media conference she had today with Slovenia's president, Borut Pahor, has spoken of the genocide indictment against Serbia.
She expressed full agreement with the prime minister, Albin Kurti, and Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca on the issue.
In this statement, the Government of Serbia has reacted. The so-called director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkovovic, has commented on Kosovo leaders' statements of genocide against the series.
He said Kosovo has neither the basis nor the official or legal opportunity to do so.
“Vyosa Osmani either does not want dialogue and mentions that Pristina is ready for talks to avoid the international community's minorities or is fully unable to understand the concept of peaceful politics. It is clear that Pristina has neither the official nor legal basis for suing Serbia for genocide”, he said, saying this is a sad Kosovo effort to draw attention to the court processes in The Hague.
