“Palmer and Lajcak's visa, signal that the EU and the US have unified positions for dialogue”

International Relations Scholar Arbnor Sadiku considers Kosovo very important to two-day Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer and European Union Special Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak. Sadiku says that such visits are aimed at delivering certain messages [...]
Sadiku says such visits are aimed at conveying some political messages, and in Kosovo's case, it is about continuing dialogue with Serbia.
“Such visas are mainly kind of like sending political messages. In the case of Kosovo, there are messages which state to the parties that they should be ready for a process that needs to continue, knowing that negotiations on Kosovo's final status must continue and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia”.
It is widely known that Kosovars have mostly trusted the United States of America, as even the whole process since the start of negotiations has all been postponed and motivated by the US, who have had only one idea to postpone even more the strengthening of Kosovo's independence, and in this case the majority part not in Kosovo, especially since they have not enough rights with the Kosovo Constitution but also with more<1.
Among other things Sadiku at Info Magazine says that Palmer and Lajcak's visit shows that between the EU and the US there is a union of stances for dialogue and final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Actually this visit is initially good as we have an international policy unification vis-à-vis the issue and the status of Kosovo, since former administration Trump and European diplomacy have previously had different directions for the Kosovo negotiations process- Serbia and now, as is being seen with President Beden, we have a unification of positions between the EU and the US that further facilitates the negotiation process and reaching a possible diplomatic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia”.
On the other hand, this visit encourages parties to initially have a more unifying and prepared stand in Kosovo, Sadiku said.
approach Sadiku said the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, should be very prepared for negotiations and international co-operation.
Kosovo has not so far lost in negotiations, but it has only won, and for that we should not be afraid. What we like Kosovo must do is have a team prepared well against this, Mr. Kurti must prepare well and create an opposition consensus and their involvement in the” dialogue.
