The incident in Zubin Potok: Police say we have failed to find material evidence

Kosovo police through an announcement have clarified yesterday's incident that took place in the mountains of Zubin Potok, where two unknown people have fired guns near a group of climbers.

We inform you that in connection with the incident of 09.05.2021, in the area of Zubin Potok, respectively, the village of Bube, the Kosovo Police, since the initial acceptance of information has undertaken all operational and investigative actions, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of the reported incident. Police have immediately undertaken actions in search and identification of the site of the event and possible material evidence. In the mountainous area of the village of Bube, police patrolling units supported by police investigators and the QRF, who have searched the area and talked to residents of the area, with the goal of providing information about the case. During yesterday, despite research in the field, police have failed to find evidence of the weapons shelling at” respectively, police reports said.

Police have announced that the witnesses in the case, respectively, complainers of this case, have been interviewed by Kosovo Police during the same day, as they have not issued statements on the pretext that statements will be filed with police in Pristina.

“From the morning hours today, police have secured the 10th statements (10) complainers, while police investigators along with witnesses and support police units will again look at the site with the aim of researching material evidence. Kosovo police, have called for the co-operation and assistance of residents of the area of Zubin Potok, for the dawning of the case reported”, reportedly in the police clarification.

Police stress that all police actions in connection with the case will be co-ordinated in co-operation with the fundamental prosecutor in Mitrovica.
