Former US Kosovo Ambassador Vlora Citaku says Prime Minister Kurti should send the agreement letter to the secretary as well NATO and withdraw from the pledge if it thinks national treason has taken place.
Citaku wrote that if Kurt doesn't send the letter of the agreement then it's just a tasteless game for internal consumption.
Prime Minister Kurti has submitted to the Prosecutor's Office the former Kosovo prime minister's pledge that he will not launch the KSF in the north without co-ordination with KFOR. If really Mr. Kurt thinks that such a pledge is national treason, he should immediately send the letter to the Secretary General of State. NATO is withdrawing from this pledge, which all Kosovo prime ministers have made after Thaci. On the contrary, this is just a tasteless game for internal consumption, but with consequences for our relations with Allies”, she wrote.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he continues to consider it harmful agreements between Kosovo and NATO for the interest of citizens
The agreement in question that was an exchange of letters you mentioned has been and continues to be harmful to the interests of Kosovo citizens. I keep standing behind what I said in 2020. I have not accused the NATO Secretary General of exchanging letters and can't ask for an account from him. I have accused the previous title of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo that I have awarded the firm in such a letter. A problem that has roots eight years ago cannot be addressed and adjusted to a meeting itself. Then I referred the case to the prosecutor, and it remains to the prosecutor. Relations between Kosovo and NATO will continue to deepen”, Kurti said.
