Business circulation increases over 200m euros in taxes for four months

This year the Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK) has exceeded tax planning, but this year's circulation of businesses is higher compared to last year that dropped 1.2 billion euros due to restrictive measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

For the January-April period of this year, ATK has issued 201.3m euros in taxes, with an increase of 37.2% or 54.6m euros more compared to the same period last year.

ATK leaders consider that on the basis of this trend there is a stability in tax collection.

ATK spokeswoman Valentina Bytyqi-Sefa points out that compared to the planning of revenues, ATK has invested 15.8m euros more or 8.6%.

For these four months, the Kosovo Tax Administration has a good performance, is exceeding expectations it has had in addition to the planning it has made. For January-April we've recorded 201.3m euros, which if compared to last year's plan, we've injected more 54.6m euros, while if we compare to the planning we've had in this four-month period, it turns out we've run 15.8 million euros”, notes Bytyqi Sefa.

The ATK spokeswoman also claims that if this positive income trend continues, they expect a satisfactory completion of the revenues by the end of the year.

And according to this trend, I think we're going to have a six-month completion of the same performance... but based on this trend, we consider that we have a tax stability and we're working to the maximum to achieve all of our goals regardless of the situation that was created in the past year, but even at the beginning of this year by the word "Condus-19<1>, she says.

Bytyqi-Sefa also points out that this year taxpayers have managed to facilitate the proclamation of financial mirrors, via EDI platform.

She says that compared to last year's decline in circulation for 1.2 billion euros, it is seen this year that there is stability.

This year together with the Ministry, with our international partners, we have managed to facilitate taxpayers' statement of financial mirrors, now done via EDI electronic platform. Their statement is fair because it's legal and we don't have any problems declaring financial mirrors... In the past year we have had a turnover drop of 1.2 billion euros, and this year it is seen that we have a stability for this if we compare it to last year”, she points out.

All ATK services are now digitized, including the financial mirrors declaration.

In addition to providing taxpayers services, the inflow of revenues is one of the main priorities of the Kosovo Tax Administration.
