Central Election Commission Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi said today that the process of counting and weighing the votes has been completed entirely for electoral subjects, political parties, coalitions and independent candidates at 4922 polling stations from 5199 to total across the country.
According to preliminary results, the Socialist Party has received 74 mandates -- the Democratic Party 59 mandates, the LSI 4 mandates and PSD 3 mandates. While candidates backed by the Vetevendosje Movement have failed to secure seats in the Kosovo Assembly.
The count has ended for the subjects competing in elections across the country, except for Tirana and Durres, where 13 polling stations remain to be counted.
“has completely completed the process of counting and evaluating ballots for political parties, coalitions and independent candidates for Shkodra, Lezha, Kukes, Fier, Elbasan, Gjirokastra, Korca, Debar, Berat and Vlora. For the other two districts Tirana and Durres, the process has ended at 11 counting centres and is still total to 13 others, or there are 270 polling stations”, Commissioner Celibashi followed.

The Socialist Party is confirmed as the first political force in Albania with 48.7% of the vote, or 74 MPs, followed by the Democratic Party with 39.4% of the vote, or 59 mandates, the Socialist Movement for Integration with 6.85% of the valid votes, or 4 mandates, as well as the Social Democrat Party with 2.24% or 3 mandates.
“The PSD has received 2.24% of the vote or 3 mandates, the National Ball Party has received 0.13% or 0 mandate, the Albanian Democratic Movement Party 0.30% votes or 0 mandates, the Democratic Obedience Party 0.3% or 0 mandates, the People's Union Organisations Alliance of Hope and the Conservators 0.09% or 0/0 mandate, the Socialist Movement for Integration has received 6.8.5% of the vote valid 4 mandates, the Movement Initiative Initiative Movement (0.64%) of the vote, the Party of the ruling party 0. In those XAZs where it started, or is expected to start counting votes for candidates, the count will continue today by 24:00 and resume tomorrow at 9:00.
