After visiting Kosovo, Lajcak visits Belgrade: Dialogue to Continue

During his visit to Kosovo immediately after the recent parliamentary elections, Lajcak briefed the winner of the election, Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti, in detail on progress made in the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue since its resumption in July 2020. They also discussed future steps ahead.
“Z. Kurt and I have had a very sincere and constructive conversation. Until I understand that Mr. Kurti will need some time to get acquainted with dialogue and its agreements, both the EU and the US expect the process of comprehensive normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia to continue soon. I'm so glad to hear that Mr. Kurti understands the importance of Dialogue, ” briefed Lajcak, said the European Union's office in Kosovo in the media.
In Pristina, Special Representative Lajcak held meetings with president in office Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister in the works Avdullah Hoti and political party leaders, including P DK, LDK, AAK and the Serbian List to stress the importance of unity in Dialog along party lines.
He also met with representatives of the international community in Kosovo, spoke with the US ambassador and briefed EU member states on his talks.
Taking advantage of the opportunity to meet with political women, the Special Representative underlined the EU's commitment to promoting women's participation in all spheres of society, including politics. Lajcak welcomed their great interest and active role since the start of the dialogue.
