Acting Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Bessian Mustafa has said they have gathered to discuss “technical details for 14 March”, when the LDK Electoral Assembly will meet to elect the new chairman.
The incumbent Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, who in the last elections was the party's candidate for the same position, has arrived at the LDK headquarters.
On March 14th, 355 delegates from 38 LDK branches from all municipalities will gather to give their vote. On that day, it will be officially known who are the mayoral candidates.
In the LDK's highest body, which makes up 355 delegates selected from branch assemblies, plus the chairman of the subject, in this case Isa Mustafa, can pass only those candidacys that initially receive the approval of delegates.
In order to be confirmed as a candidate for chairman, each of the contenders has to receive 50% plus one of the delegates' votes.
