Shala has warned that the LDK will open a new stage of its own and for Kosovo.
As he says, the LDK is not simply a political alternative, but the basic “mark of our state”.
"Dear LDK editors!" Thank you from the heart for your support of the LDK, the Kosovo Albanian movement, the founder and guarantor of our state! I thank all those citizens who have chosen to vote me as LDK candidate and once again have given me confidence to represent in the Kosovo Assembly! Repeated faith is the greatest honor. The LDK will open a new page to itself and Kosovo. The LDK is the Kosovo root party. The LDK is not only a political alternative, but the essential sign of our state” has written Shala.
This is Kujtim Shala's first reaction following the defeat his party has suffered in the February 14th elections. Shala has become second in the list after Avdullah Hoti, followed by Lumir Abiddzik.
His name has also been spoken of to take over the LDK leader, yet nothing is confirmed. The LDK will hold the Electoral Assembly in a few days, where new party structures are expected to emerge after Isa Mustaf's resignation.
