Orian acknowledged that Israel's recognition of Kosovo could damage relations between Israel and Belgrade in the short term.
Serbia is certainly not happy about this. Kosovo is, as they say, their Jerusalem. But they have many friends who recognised Kosovo, from us [Israel] to France and Germany, and many others. Yes, for a while it will be more difficult because Serbia is very close to us”, Dan Orian has said about themdialine.
However, Israel hopes Serbia will fulfil the promises of the agreement signed in Washington between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Hopefully they will fulfill the promises made in Washington. They knew it was part of the deal, ” Orrian, referring to, among other things, Serbia's promised embassy in Jerusalem.
We remember that the Washington agreement between Kosovo and Serbia brought a recognition of Kosovo from Israel on promise that two Kosovo and Serbia will place their embassy in Jerusalem.
