The summit will begin at 14:15 on time in our country, while President Biden will hold the opening address.
According to schedule published by the State Department, states are divided into several panels. But not all states have equal time.
Kosovo has 3 minutes for presentation, following the 15-minute summit pause. Along with our country, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, and the Netherlands are on the panel.
In this summit, where Kosovo participates, participants are expected to make new pledges to democracy.
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is expected at this summit to present Kosovo's main pledges in the field of rule of law, international co-operation in combating authorities, empowering the role of women in society and establishing mechanisms to ensure implementation of commitments.
Biden ʹ who is determined to show the world that democracy can still function as authoritarianism rises worldwide will speak from the White House, thus opening the Summit for Democracy.
Beden has pledged to organise this summit at the start of his presidential mandate in order to reinforce US commitment to establish democracy and human rights in downtown Washington's foreign policy, his administration said through a statement.
The summit on Democracy will be held over two days, through video connections, due to the coronary pandemic. This event has been described as demonstrating American leadership amid a existential war between democracies and autism or powerful dictatorships.
